Portal Terms

Terms governing use of the Alghaf Marine Trading Portal for electronic documents, authentication and transaction records.

Last updated: 25 July 2026

Scope

These Portal Terms apply to access and use of the Alghaf Marine Trading Portal (alghafmarine.com/login) and related authenticated flows used for Diesel FOB desk transactions operated by ALGHAF MARINE DMCC. They supplement Terms of Use and executed contractual documents. Where conflict arises, executed agreements prevail.

Electronic documents

The portal may present commercial offers, confirmations, settlement instructions, status updates and other transaction documentation in electronic form. You agree that electronic delivery through the portal (or linked secure channels) satisfies legal requirements for written communication where applicable law permits, unless a party has expressly required paper delivery in the underlying contract.

You are responsible for downloading, retaining and internally distributing documents your organisation requires for audit and compliance.

OTP and authentication

Portal access may require one-time passwords (OTP), multi-factor authentication or other verification sent to registered contact details. You must:

  • protect login credentials, devices and OTP codes from unauthorised use;
  • ensure registered email and phone numbers are accurate and monitored;
  • notify Alghaf promptly of suspected compromise or unauthorised access;
  • not share individual credentials across users — each authorised user should have distinct access where provided.

Actions completed after successful authentication may be attributed to your organisation unless you demonstrate unauthorised use and timely notification.

User responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • actions taken by personnel you authorise to use portal credentials;
  • verifying settlement addresses, amounts, networks and milestones before confirming or initiating transfers;
  • submitting accurate information and supporting documents;
  • compliance with sanctions, AML and export control obligations applicable to your organisation;
  • maintaining internal approval procedures before confirming portal actions.

Alghaf may suspend portal access where credentials are compromised, qualification lapses or compliance review requires it.

Evidentiary value of portal records

System logs, timestamps, authentication records, document versions and confirmation events maintained by the portal may be relied upon by Alghaf, appointed escrow agents and contractual parties as evidence of:

  • delivery and acknowledgement of electronic documents;
  • user authentication at the time of an action;
  • settlement instructions issued or acknowledged through the portal;
  • milestone status updates recorded in the transaction workflow.

To the extent permitted by applicable law and the underlying contract, such records may be used in dispute resolution, audit and regulatory proceedings. They do not replace independent contractual evidence where law or agreement requires original signed instruments.

Availability and security

We strive for reliable portal operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, security incidents or third-party outages may cause temporary unavailability. Critical deadlines should account for reasonable contingency; contractual notice provisions apply where portal access is impaired.

Privacy

Portal data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. Portal usage may be logged for security and compliance.

Changes

We may update portal functionality and these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law and contract.
